The Tradition of Trap & Skeet Shooting

Trap & Skeet has been a feature of the Mercer County Sportsmen Association since its founding in the 1950s.  We continue to host public trap & skeet shooting every week from April through October.

Trap & Skeet shooting hours are every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and every Sunday from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.

Each round is $6.00 and consists of 25 birds.

There are 5 shooters per squad.

what is the difference between trap & skeet?

Skeet Shooting

  • Birds throw from two locations, a high house and a low house.
  • Station 1 -2 : One from each house and a double throw.
  • Station 3 - 5 : One from each house.
  • Station 6 - 7 : One from each house and a double throw.
  • Station 8 :  One from each house.
  • The first miss is retaken. If none, last target shot twice.

Trap Shooting
